Ireland was one of the earliest countries that GSA expanded into, and we are now the largest provider of student housing in the country, with assets in Dublin and Cork. Our portfolio includes properties that we have both acquired and developed.

Case study

New Mill, Dublin

New Mill was developed by GSA in partnership with Harrison Street Real Estate Capital as part of a planned €250 million investment by the joint venture in Dublin.

Completed in 2017, New Mill is a 400-bedroom development in the heart of Dublin’s historical Liberties area. It is located next to its sister building, The Tannery, with residents sharing social spaces including a cinema, games room and gym. 

Alongside the student accommodation, New Mill delivers an extensive new public realm and landscaping to the surrounding areas of Mill Street and Warrenmount Lane.

GSA in Madrid

GSA has three properties in Madrid, which is home to some of the top universities in Spain – Galdos, El Faro and Claraval. Our properties are strategically clustered around universities hubs and we have relationships with a number of universities and colleges to provide accommodation for over 900 of their students.

Aleu, Barcelona

Opened in summer 2019, Aleu University Residence is one of our two newly built residences in Barcelona. It is situated in the heart of the University of Barcelona South Campus, surrounded by its faculties and a walking distance from Camp Nou, the FC Barcelona football ground. 

Aleu is the largest of our residences in Spain, comprising 505 beds in single en-suite rooms, all of which are fully furnished, with a kitchenette and plentiful natural light.

Urbanum, Frankfurt

The two modern Urbanum building complexes, which are located in Frankfurt’s Gallus district, comprise 268 single studio apartments. Facilities include bicycle storage areas, underground parking and several common areas such as a gym, study room, lounge and common kitchen as well as two roof terraces.
